BEST touch-up paint distributor for Blizzard Pearl 2018?

Title says it all...too many online vendors with varying prices of 070 paint code for Blizzard Pearl. Need to get touch up paint to cover two door dings - no bigger than size of a dime.

I'm having my local detail shop do the work for me when I take it in for detailing in few weeks and wanted to order touch up paint before then. Any suggestions / what kind of kit I should buy if the damages are limited to the size of a dime or smaller?

Be careful having your truck detailed after touching up the paint. Any type of paint correction will likely remove the paint you just retouched.

Thanks for your post and will keep that in mind! My detailer is the same one who did the Modesta ceramic coating on this vehicle so I don't think I will need to remind them about this since they do touch up paint services too. This is still a great post for anyone else who didn't know about this pro tip.


I also forgot to include a picture for you all chiming in, this ding is the most significant one that I will share with you all today

The problem with "Blizzard Pearl" is that it is a tri-coat paint. That means the factory throws on a base coat, then a second clear coat in it with mica (they call it pearl), then the clear. So it is almost impossible to touch up because a pearl color will change color as you move your eye over it and the touch up spot will not change the same way as the factory because it is not nice and flat like the factory. So you can have an exact match and it will still not look good. Best thing is to use a base coat paint followed by clear that doesn't have any of the mica in it. You will probably need to get a professional touch-up guy to do it. If it is bigger than just a chip it will be better than nothing but will never match the factory and you will always be able to see it.

Have used them for years now ... you can get just a small bottle with a brush, or spray can.
But yes, the Pearl paint would be a two step paint ... but no worries. Their website will instruct you and direct you as to exactly what you'll need.

Really solid info...I think that's exactly what I see on the front bumper when I first got it. It's not obvious but it's clear there was touch-up paint on the bumper and it wasn't a good mix of blizzard pearl using the touch-up paint. I'm afraid I'd get the same results again if it looks the same as the touch up paint on the bumper

I honestly might just get a car cover for the vehicle and not have the ding corrected. This happened overnight in my apartment parking lot so I think I'd be better off paying for a car cover that can prevent dings from occurring overnight in my parking lot

Yes. This. No touch up paint is perfect, but I’ve had great results with Dr Colorchip.
