I loaded up my canoe a few days ago and the ratchet strap unspooled when I threw it over the canoe and dented the c-pillar on the drivers side. Idiot move.
Now there are 4 dime-quarter sized dents. Broke the paint, so PDR isn't an option. The only redeeming factor is that it's right where the trim badges go, so I will be able to put some kind of badge or decal there to cover them. The SR5/TRAIL/TRD lettering isn't large enough to hide them. I found that the TRD PRO door badge for Tacomas covers them entirely (its 10"x 2"), but that thing is huge and like an inch thick so I don't think it will look good on the pillar. (And I'm not a fan of putting TRD badges on my SR5). The dents are deep enough that stickers won't hide much either.
Any ideas for other decals or badges that I could use to hide these? I'll be doing the same badges on both sides of the truck. I'm thinking a 3rd party vendor must make something large enough to work, but could really use some ideas of something that looks cool. Or does anyone have pictures of something they've done with their c pillar?
