Best Type Of Subs??

i currently have two twelve KiCKERs Subs ( in my borthers 4runer, soon to be mine in a matter of months ) and im thinking these are pretty old and im just wondeirng what are the best subs i can get for 400-500 dollars???

Maybe I am just being cheap, but why not keep the the Kickers? I have always been a fan of Kickers they are very good subs and can last years. The Solo Baric models have always been my fav.

My two cents: The thing about placing subs in the 4runner is you don't really need competition type subs for clean bass, since the subs are in the cabin it does not take much for clean sound. I have a single 10" and I love it, very deep and clean bass, But I am pushing it with a Fosgate 200 bridged, and the ten is a dual coil.

check out Alpine type r, i got two and it only cost me $200 for both

top of the line, wont be disapointed, waht i have is a 12" W7 made my JL audio. the thing is a beast... 1,000 wats. IT WILL OUTPERFORM ANY OTHER SYSTEM YOU SEE (unless the other car is made for car shows) I GUARANTEE IT. This thing is so loud and crisp and the low to mid to high bass transistions are amazing. I recomend this as does everyone else who knows anything about subs. About 90% of show cars have W7's or W6's in them unless some other sub company sponsored the owner of the car. You WONT be disappointed. I made a thread of my system somewheroe n here just search for it it has pics and all

the best subs for the money are JL Audio you cannot go wrong with them there abit pricey but best for the doller. sound the best and look the best check out my custom stereo thread
