Best Upholstery cleaner?

This past week my daughter spilled coffee on the passenger's front seat and left me with a stain and a strong smell of coffee. What can I use besides what's on the auto parts stores to get rid of the stain and smell on my cloth seats? Based on your experiences with tough stains and smells, what's out there that can do marvels with this kind of stain? Thanks for your input, your help and advice has been very beneficial, my truck looks great thanks to your advices!

And is your daughter old enough to be drinking coffee in the truck??? :

I typically use Resolve carpet cleaner for the vehicles. But, there are a couple of things we've gotten lately that may work better -- we just haven't had a stain to try them:

- diluted solution of Simple Green (probably a 30-to-1 mix to start, going up to 10-to-1 if needed)
- professional grade spot cleaner from ChemDry (they left it when they cleaned the carpets in the house)

Woolite also makes some carpet cleaner that should be gentle enough on the fabric.

In any case, I'd probably steer away from the hard plastic "brushes" on the cans to work on the stain. They may damage the fabric.

For the coffee odor, you can use Febreze or perhaps a citric acid solution if the cleaner doesn't get it out; if it soaked too deeply, then you may have to work at it a while to get it all out.

LOL, Woolite definitely did the job, the stain is gone and the smell too... I found this product at a Stop & Shop supermarket in the area. Thanks for the tip, BTW my daughter is 15 and never drank coffee before, she decided to drink coffee recently...It could have been worse like nail polish. Well, until next stain...Thanks again.
