Best way to keep plastic shining?

I have a 3rd gen, 98 4runner SR5. I was wondering what you guys use to keep the black plastic on your running boards and fender flares shining.

I have been using the armor all vinyl protectant wipes and they work alright, but there's got to be something less tedious and that works better. Is there anything that works real nice and keeps it's shine for a while, like a spray or something?

Vinylex by Lexol works very well. I use it on my interior and exterior. Unlike other products, it's suppose to actually be good for the plastics.

Our local Toyota dealers carry this stuff, so it's not hard to find either.

303 Aerospace protectant is what I use on my other car. Now, I'll use it on the 4Runner.

Armoroil causes plastic to dry out and eventually fade. I got a buddy that uses Meguirs Tire gel. He has been using this on his '97 Mark VIII since he bought it. The interior and exterior plastic pieces look brand new.

I've heard horror stories about AmourALL. It sucks.

I had great luck with Car Brite's "Bumper Koat," it's a clear silicone product that you spread on, allow to dry a bit, then wipe off with a rag. Lasts a long time, and it gets better and requires less product everytime you use it.

Mother's "Back to Black" is mucheasier to find tho, and seems almost as good.

I thought I noticed fading and it being a little spotty, but I couldn't really remember if it was just me or it really was. Oh well, can't do anything about it now.
