Best way to plasti dip grill

Dear Forum Members,

I'm looking to plasti dip the grill of my 4th generatoin 4runner, but I don't want any spray to get in engine bay or on other part of car. What is quickest and most efficiant way to plasti dip grill?

take it off and spray. you wont have to tape things off or worry if done this way. In turn is quicker.

Agree with above threads. Make sure to clear coat it too.

pop your hood and right where the grill ends you will see nuts that cover screws. Take those off and remove the the lever to open your hood and it comes right off. its what i did and turns out great cause you can get on the sides and on top and bottom for a clean coat.

At first, I thought it would be easier to mask the front and leave it on. After doing that and then taking it off and re-doing it because I wanted a different look. It is MUCH easier to just take it off and do it that way. It takes probably twice as much time to leave it on, mask it, etc.
