Best way to remove dealer label?

hey guys!
I want to remove the dealer name and location that's on the rear, white on black. It seems to be painted on. I want to get a clean look but that ugly writing looks difficult to get off. I wish they could just ask before putting their names all your vehicle.

I asked the dealer to remove it. That way if they scratch it, they fix it.

I did the same I told them I will not pick it up till it is gone and they did it.

I too had this but on a car already 5 years old. I used Turtle Wax's Bug and Tar remover. Use a nice soft rag and some elbow...that should do the trick.

I want to tell everyone about a product that is the best product for removing anything taped/glued etc. The product is called "Desolve-It" and it's sold at Walmart in the cleaning section. I've never seen anything work like this. It is completely safe when in contact with the skin, it is citrus based. Everyone should have this product in their house. You would not believe the uses it is capable of. A friend that does vinyl lettering told me about it, he uses it to take off old lettering, off vehicles. It works so good, I went out and bought a half dozen bottles because whenever I find something that works that good, they usually take it off the market. THIS STUFF IS MAGIC!

A blow dryer will take off vinyl decals and plastic decals. Residue can be removed with a "tar and bug remover".

The reason why I know? Because I've taken full vehicle decals off before and its the fastest way. Kind of sucks but hey, it needed new decals for a car show.

I told the dealer not to touch my 4runner once it came off the truck *haha*... I told them no dealer stickers or dealer tag up front...dont touch it!

The dealership I purchased my truck from made it easy to remove.
It took less than one minute to do it.
When I picked up the car, it was washed and could not tell it was there before.

If it looks "painted on" it's probably a cheapo super thin vinyl sticker. Hook up a hairdryer and heat it up. try and pull one corner up using your fingernail. Once you get it started it should all peel off pretty easily.

after the sticker is off, use the bug/tar remover as others said.

Shouldn't be a problem. I don't see any reason why the dealer would have used paint to tag that vehicle. what if they don't sell it or transfer it to another dealer..then there's no getting it off. It's gotta be vinyl.

you dont really need the bug/tar remover to remove the sticker residue. WD40 works great.
