We have one (don't use it now) and when we did use it, it was ok. It slides around quite a bit, but the good thing is that it contains a lot of the dog hair that would otherwise be all over the seat as well as keeps any mud off your seat. We have leather in both vehicles and found that it's just easier to let the dog ride on a blanket in the cargo area of my T4R or back seat of hubby's chevy p/u.
As for those of you who let your dog ride with his/her head hanging out of the window, I can't stress enough how BAD that is... working in vet clinics, I have seen countless numbers of scratched corneas, knocked out eyes, damaged ears, etc on dogs because of this... please don't do it... sure, the dog seems to love it, but it's dangerous!
