Best wiring harness for 2010 Limited for aftermarket head unit

Hey Guys,

I'm replacing the stock JBL nav unit in my 2010 Limited with an aftermarket head unit (probably Kenwood DDX9904s). I want to keep all the steering wheel controls, and potentially the stock AUX and USB ports. I'm not really that concerned about the gauges and other vehicle info provided by the OBD connection with the iDataLink Maestro, but it would be cool -- just not sure if it's really an extra $50-100 cool.

So, the question is, in order to retain those vehicle features, am I better off going with the Maestro wiring harness, or are there harnesses from Metra, Scosche, etc., that work just as well and are less expensive?

If Crutchfield can't tell you what to get, you're probably best off using search to read up on who installed what and getting their feedback directly from threads

iDatalink Maestro seems to get the best reviews. I'm doing a headunit swap in the next month and it will be what I use.

PAC also makes harness, but the reviews I've seen put it behind the iDatalink Maestro.

Yeah, and I also forgot to mention that I also need the stock backup camera to work, so I think the Maestro seems to account for all those functions in one package, as opposed to piecing together a bunch of separate harnesses.

With the Maestro RR, you'll need to splice in the camera wires but it's there in the instructions. The module also gives you a 6v output to power the OEM camera.

The Maestro does not provide USB or Aux retention so you'll need those plugs separately. USB 2010 - 1013 you grab the USB plug behind the glove box at the multi media ECU.

Is your current NAV unit dead or are you just looking for an upgrade?

I think the you'll find the best/cheapest deals using 'Metra' on-line head unit wiring kits! I like 'Crutchfield' but their prices are (comparable to List prices) usually higher than the manufacturer's costs; likely because they offer tech support along with their products... which I'd rather research google or you-tube if I need it!
