BFG A/T tires

Do these tires have any warranty? And how many miles are most people getting out of them?

They have a great warranty. I ran them on my explorer 245/70 16 D load range at 38psi and got near 60,000 for the 1st 2 sets with more than 5/32 tread left when I changed. Sold before I wore the 3rd set out. For a tire that is one step below large lug, they are the best.

Some people get 10-20K (when they don't rotate or get alignment) while others get 50-60K, I've heard of people getting 90K but I don't know if that's true.

I have 25K on mine right now and they still look great, I'd say at least 50% tread life remains, probably more.

I believe the warranty also covers puncture etc. I personnally stay away from tires that have treadlife warranty as they are designed for wear and not performance. Probably ok for something like a suburban. I usually just try to get 2 years out of my tires, always replacing in the fall. Tires with less than 6/32 are pretty much worthless for traction.

I totally agree with Matt on this one. The BFG's have been around quite a while and there is a reason they have. If you keep them rotated every 4500-5000 miles you can easily get 60,000 miles out of them. A friend of mine had a set on his FJC and he got around 75,000 on them.

These tires seem to wear the best out of about any AT tire. People seem to be very happy with them. The only issues I have heard is conflicting reports about their traction in rain and snow.

I'm saving up for a set of BFG A/T right now. They're expensive, but a good investment. I owned a set previously and no complaints here. I'm almost there financially, getting antsy.

The bfg AT tires that came on my new 03 tacoma only lasted 35-40k.

Here's my thoughts: Although I've never had the BFG AT's, I have had a number of other tires listed in tireracks survey results for Highway All Season tires and there are cheaper and higher rated tires than the BFG's. I would consider those ratings but not rule out the BFG's or any other tires. My OE DumbFlop GrandCrap AT20's are near the bottom of that list and if I drove like a granny with no snow, I might consider a set of them for replacements despite the lousey ratings. Bottom line is there are a lot of tires to choose from and there is good info on each of those to help in the decision process.

if its worth anything my father in in law has yokohama geolander at-s on his truck and hes got close to 75k on the tires. They have held up excellent and they still have plenty of tread on them!
