I have a limited 4wd 2005 4runner with an air suspension and xreas. I am looking in getting BFG all terrains to replace my Michelin cross terrains. I would have to get 265/70/17 bfg all terrains because bfgoodrich does not make 265/65/17, which is my stock tire size. Is it alright doing what I am thinking about doing? or any suggestions?

A lot of people, including me, run that size tire with no problems at all. I don't have the BFG AT's, but many do. Your speedometer may be a couple of mph, and you may experience a slight rub at full lock (I do). But everything else should be fine.
I should also mention that I have an SR5 and therefore do not have the airbag suspension or xreas.... but I don't think you will have any problems.

These tires have been reviewed all over this forum. There are a ton of members running them (including myself) with varying amounts of lift and wheels. There may be a small amount of rubbing due to the square side lugs of the BFG and it may require some minor trimming. Seems like some members get the rub and some don't.
Also according to their website, BF Goodrich does make a 265/65R17

What a coincidence... I've got 2005 Limited 4wd w/ XREAS and air suspense and am considering exact same tire. As per my other post, I'm also considering a mild front lift, maybe 1" or 1.5" to level and better fit the tire.

Save a little money and get the Safari TSR's: see my sig. I have about 4k on them and love them!
They look more agressive and are at least as quiet as the BFG is.

Goodyear DuraTracs.
I agree. Last month I picked up a truck for a friend and installed DuraTracs for him. After driving it 1,300 miles to his home I was extremely impressed with how quiet they were for such an agressive tread. They look awesome, and have serious side biters for an AT. Unfortunately there was no mud to try, but the surprisingly large gaps between lugs make rave mud reviews I've read very logical.
For the record I've also driven trucks with KO's for more miles, and found them good overall. However they have gaps between the lugs that are too small for mud and they have no side biter to speak of. The KO performance in sand was good, but very poor in mud.

Had never heard of these tires and am currently looking at buying a new set. I think these are the ones i am going to get. Love the way they look. Thanks for throwing this out there.

I don't see anyone saying my tire is better, looks like everyone is sharing ideas on their experience with different tires to widen the selection of tires that we may choose for our vehicles. I appreciate everyones opinion on this specially since I am looking for new tires now. Why bash the thread instead of hitting the back button and moving onto the next thread?

Then skip over the thread. The tire industry is forever changing as well as the price of tires and where the best place is to get them and for how much you got them for. Nothing wrong with sharing good information with the rest of the group. Thats all i'm saying.
