BFG Mud Terrain KM2 in the Snow

Just got these installed on my 4Runner, they are 255/85/16. They fit really well, and with a little trimming there is no rubbing. I want to thank the people at 4WheelParts in Dallas for the great install. It is supposed to snow a couple inches tonight, so after it does I will go out and take pictures to post here. I already have a little over 1500 miles on the tires and they are great. Can't wait to test them out in the snow and mud.

I also decided to move my lights on the Yakima Rack to the rear so I could have some more light when backing up. That made a huge difference. Both the tires and lights will be helpful for duck hunting when setting up decoys this winter.

A lot of people say they arent as good in the snow, but from the snow I've had mine in, they are amazing!

Here are the pictures that I promised. The KM2's have done well in the snow and ice. Not quite as good as my BFG All Terrains. I knew that I would take a hit on snow and ice, but I wanted the advantage of looks and traction in the mud.

The KM2s are doing great so far. I pretty much bought them and then took a 1500mi road trip. On the highway, they are surprisingly quiet. I would say, once at speed no more noisy than the ATs. One caviat is that at some speeds, 20-30 and 50-60 mph you can hear them drone. I happen to like that sound however.

I have owned 4 pairs of BFG ATs, they are AWESOME tires. Two sets on my old '98 K1500, one set on my wifes wrangler, and last set on my 4Runner. Honestly, I was tired of them. I wanted to try something different.

I wanted to go with a mud terrain tire, but was warry of the snow, ice, and rain performance of the BFG MT. (I am a BFG fan) I decided to give the KM2's a change because they have a radically re-designed tread pattern with actual "siping". So far I have been really happy with them off road (hunting trip) and in the snow (see above) and on the highway. Not to mention they look BA.

Yeah it just snowed like a mother****er here and I have litterally been waiting for it to happen to test out my tires.
the km2s are great tyres and look much more nicer than the ***** ATs hahaha

That post was written while I was still living in Kansas. Plus I am about to move to NM so I plan on making a lot of trips to the mtns during the fall/winter/spring.
