I say personal preference on this one. I run the maxim its a great tire off road. On road it is loud, witch I don't mind so much. I have wheeled with people running both the km2 and. the toyos id not think you can go wrong with any of these tires.

I'll personally vouch for the Bighorns! They clean out real well in the mud and snow, and give great traction off road. That being said, they are loud on the road, but if you don't mind the humming, they are a great all around tire!

:thumb3::iagree: I actually run the summit mud Dawgs witch are made by maxis and are identical to the bighorns.

i run the km2's and have been happy with them. They are pretty quiet for a mud tire on the pavement, and really work well offroad. My good buddy has those toyo mt's and they seemed super quiet on the road. He doesnt take his truck offroad so I have no clue about those off road. And i wheel with a few people who run those Maxxis tires (driffter, Brian2sun) and they seem to work pretty good. They are the most inexpensive tire you listed. They seem good for the price

Proudrunner runs the toyos I have. Never seen him have problems with off road performance. I have wheeled several good trails with him. I don't know what he thinks of them on road.

2x on the toyo. They are great in deep snow if you air down. I haven't been to thrilled about their performance in the mud. Althought I hate mud anyway. If you looking for a mud tire, I've found that SS TSL work great.

thanks for the input everyone, pretty much what i gathered is

bighorns for value, but loud on road
bfg is great all around
toyo is great tire aswell but probably the most expensive, and quite on-road... not to mention they look great :)

The KM2's are alright. I got about 32K on them now, and they need to be replaced. I rotated them pretty religiously every 3K miles. They were good off road and quiet on road. But I'm not head over heels for them. I'm gunna try a different tire when I replace them. I'm thinking about the firestone MT.

I have the toyos and I like them. They aren't as loud as other mt's, and they ride well on road. I expect to get about 30k out of them I am about half way there and they seem to still have a lot of life left. So hopefully I can make it to 40k. Most likely I will be buying another set when the time comes.
