BFGoodrich 265/75 Load Rating Question

I am soon going to need new tires and had a question about load ratings. I am interested in the BFGoodrich All Terrains. In the stock size they are load rated "D", but in the 265/75/16 size that I would like to get they are load rated "E." Does anyone have the "E" rated size and how do they ride compared to stock?
I use my truck as a daily driver in the city and highway so ride comfort is of some concern. I drive on the beach and plan on doing some casual off roading in the future.

im not sold on those a/t's wont get into it but E rated tires are 10plys and will probably suck on a light truck those tires are more for full size trucks

Dis fine especially on a 3rd gen and BFGs you won't have any sidewall issues to really worry about.

Yeah those load range E tires will make your ride a little stiffer but it shouldn't be too bad.

Unless you are towing or hauling heavy loads E will be quite stiff for around town especially on a truck that only weighs 4000lbs;E load range is better on heavy trucks. D is fine and won't hurt the wallet as much.

I don't think they make the 265/75 in D rating, so if you want D you'll have to go with the 265/70.

I have the 265/75 E rated tires, and they are pretty firm.

You just have to decide which is more important to you - ride quality of off-roading. If you're only doing mild off-roading, you might want to look into a different tire that comes in the 265/75 D rated.

My truck is not my DD, so I don't mind the extra stiffness. YMMV.

i have BF goodrich in 265/75/16 in D rating. they were on it when i bought the truck

I was set on the BFGoodrich All Terrains because I heard good things, but after searching around will probably go with the "C" load Goodyear Duratracs 265/75. They are even slightly cheaper.

I hated my Es and sold them 2 days ago with 95%+ of their tread life left. I lost about $200 on them (but at least I got to use them all winter) but it was worth it to get rid of them. I went to Ds and they ride way better.

Do you guys have 265/75 BFG ATs that are D-rated? BFGs website doesn't list them as available, and the shop I bought mine from said they weren't available either....

I think the D rated ATs were available but aren't any more.

I just put KM2s in the E rating on my runner and I don't think they ride to harsh. Loud, yes.

My bigger concern is Costco said I needed to run them at 50psi to "make them work right". I dont know exactly what that means so I email bfg and they recomended i run 44psi. Seems abit smoother.

I would think using a stiffer tire would mean lower psi to acheive the same ride characteristics?
