BFG tire prices are "price controlled" by the manufacturer, so the price will be the same where ever you go. What to look for is the extended warranty (road hazard), and installation cost, that most shops add on to the quoted price. Also whether they give free tire rotations, re-balance, and flat repairs for the life of the tires.

The best warranty and installation cost I have found is at Costco. They also have the longest warranty time.

Also whether they give free tire rotations, re-balance, and flat repairs for the life of the tires.

This would be a screaming deal....last time I bought 4 (kept best one from previous set for spare; albeit that was ~48k miles ago and still have over 7/32s remaining) it was right at $1,000-1,100 for purchase and install at Discount Tire.

All four out the door for less than $850? Don't think twice.

I just bought 4 on Friday, but they were 255/75/17's. Costco and Discount were $100 more because of installation costs. I went to an independent tire shop and the balancing job was spectacular- 1 tire has 0 weight, 2 has 1.25 oz on the inside wheel lip so you cant see them, and the other 1 has 1.5 oz tape weights near one wheel spoke. In contrast Discount has stacked weights on top of other weights on previous installs. Check around for service quality as well as price.

Where did you get that from? Between 4 vehicles, I've bought 5 sets of KO2's in the last five years and it has always been between $1,000 and $1,200.

That's a good deal. Amazon is even higher than that at $217 each. Only other place I'd check is Costco as they have $75 off a set of 4 BFGs from time to time.

Remember, you need to upgrade the spare tire as well IF it is a different size. Traction control and stability control don’t like it when tires of different size is on same axle.

Costco won’t install BFG on a 4Runner because they are light truck tires. Costco only installs factory spec.
