BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A

anyone running these? I like the look... not too aggressive but just enough.
I saw them on a tacoma today and thought about them for my next tires.

Considering them, I have 98 4runner with 2.5" lift and running 265/70 17 BFG ATs right now. I love ATs but this is my commuter, and with gas prices Im looking to do anything to help mpg and imagine this tire could handle mild trails and exploring, hunting and camping trips.

I want a LT or C rated AT that is lighter and mild tread for better mpg...loooking at Goodyear, General, Bridgestone, Hankook, and these BFGs....

Also need to sort through whats the difference between 265/70-17 and 265/75-17, and 275/70-17 and other variations of tires all close in size, might be able to expand tire selection options...

Also need to check out Falken tires, but heard they are heavy?

On your tire sizes, just remember that the first number is the overall width, and the second is the height of the sidewall given in % of the width--a 265/70 is 265 mm wide, and the sidewall is 70% of 265. Therefore, a 75 series is slightly taller than a 70 series of the same width. On those Rugged Trails, if you rarely go offroad, or only on loose dirt roads, you should be fine. That tread won't get you through anything too nasty, but if you don't need it to, then it should be great. BFG makes a great tire.

I have had mine on for a while now and really like'em. They are more quiet than my old road tires, ride really nice and have a pretty cool look. Not to mention they have a 50,000 mile warranty.....:trophy:

I know this is an old thread but im getting conflicting reviews about these in the snow, some say they are good and others say avoid them at all costs?! Anyone run these in the snow and ice yet? Im in the northeast so definitely need something able to handle those icy roads. (Am torn between these the Mic LTX AT and the Revo 2's).

Are you sure the negative reviews aren't for the Rugged Trail? I too have been searching a lot about these, and seems any bad reviews about them were mistakenly talking about the Rugged Trails. For what it's worth, I don't think over read a bad review about the Terrains. Plus I've read that if you get them siped, they do great in snow and ice.
