Big Bear Area Sat 12-19

I have a Big Bear Area run this Saturday with another Toyota group I am putting together.

The idea is Green Valley lake around to Big Bear. There is plenty of Fire road and some off-shoots for more challenging (i.e Rock Garden). Open for discussion once we get all the rigs and drivers together. We will use the CB channel 31 for communication on the trail. Questions PM me and I can give my phone number. FYI I will have my 3 year old and 6 year old with me so family friendly.

Wal Mart parking lot Next to the Tarbell Realtors

This is off HWY 330 and Highland Ave.

Meet Spot B Time 0830
Fuel Station in Arrow Bear
3700 block of HWY 18 and corner of Conifer Camp Rd
approx. 1 mile before turn off for Green Valley Lake


Requirements

Good Attitude
Warm clothes
Food and beverage to get through dinner(stuff happens)
Safety and recovery gear.

Right now there are total of 7 rigs saying they are going. Mostly Tacos. Would like to keep the group to about 12 trucks. Might break into two groups if it gets to big.

I will be in next time Sunday run. I just spent 4hrs to wash my truck because of my last week Cleighorn run. Mud everywhere. I never run Big Bear before.

OK well we met the 7 peoplethat said they were coming and headed in through Green Valley lake and then down Crab Flats RD. for our not so Snowy snow run. Trail was a lot of run off and snow on the sides except for a few sections closer to Holcomb Valley. I know we ended up on 3N16, 3N11, 3N12 and a couple others. I ran Tail Gunner 99% of the trip. We only had to strap one person(one time) the entire trail. I did come close to giving up after trying one sections 4 times but cleared it on the 5th run at it. Next will drop down to 12-15 range instead of 20 like i did this time. Here are a couple teasers but it is hard to take pictures while driving.

Most of the trail was dirt, some dry some with run off and muddy. Once we got around near Holcomb Valley it was snow. Here are some pics from the trip.

It was a great run but come on MikesToy, you live in Co. Springs. I was at Ft. Carson and it is great out there. Tell you what bring your Yota here and we will go on a run. Maybe if i make it out to the Springs again will try to bring mine.
