Big Island

I just got back from a vacation on the Big Island, and I must say, the 4th Gen 4R is VERY well represented over there. I couldn't believe how many of them are out on the road over there!
Also saw a ton of new Tacomas....

In Hawaii, Toyota had the highest market share in 2004, according to this article.

Toyota's share in 2004 was 22 percent, versus about 11 percent each for Nissan and Honda, and 8.5 percent for Ford.

The exclusive Toyota distributor and dominant retailer, Servco Pacific, was the largest Hawaii auto retailer in 2004 too.

I just returned from holiday at the Four Seasons in Kona (lovely). I rolled around in a Chrysler minivan (roomy and plasticky car) and couldn't help but notice not just the frequency of Toyota trucks I passed, but the number of them that were lifted. Some looked real nice, too. I was wishing I had my 4R there!

I'm looking forward to going back. I love Hawaii and fell in love with the Lilikoi!
