my girlfriend drives an 04' 4runner and wants to get some bigger tires. (she got hooked on off-roading in my jeep). so i'm wondering whats the biggest size tires i can put on without having rubbing issues. also what about rim sizes and backspacing.

this is all new to me, since i deal with jeeps. thanks!

so i'm lookin at a 32x11.50 without modding anything. what about rims? do i need a rim with backspacing?

32x10.50 will definitely no need of any modification. For 32x11.50 you'll probably need some spacers, but I'm not sure. Try to turn your wheels in to full right and then to full left position and measure how much free space you have. Just remember that you should leave some empty space after installing big tires.

this is what i'm working with. she is looking for a more aggressive stance and something that will go offroad also

one more thing...which is off topic. does this piece in the picture come off or do i have to replace the entire bumper?

Its looks like rear bumper. Rear bumper is one piece, so you have to take it off completely mask outer parts and repaint middle part.

ya i know...i'm not too thrilled about it. i like my jeep..just rattle can something and its done. but i got to make this look good.

If she plans on offroading, that wont be the last little scar... why bother?

it wont be serious off roading to the point of causing damage. thats what the jeep is for. i need to fix it because her mom is pissed about it
