Thanks Brian. Coming from the jeep world, I'm used to everyone running soft 8s rofl. I just wasn't expecting somethin as flashy as that.

It's been a while and my dad finally ordered some wheels/tires


He got these in 265/75R16. They are gonna look sooooo sick

Gonna compliment it with a 1 inch body lift.

Okay, so I was reading on yotatech a couple mins ago and read a really old post about the size we just bought. The guy said that if I have aftermarket 16x8s with 4.5" bs with the 265/75R16s with running boards (which I do) it will rub the pinch welds? Anything I can do about that? or is that guy just full of it?


If anything I'll just convince my dad to get that 1 inch body lift by 4crawler If rubbings an issue

I doubt your going to rub with 265/75/16, unless your springs have really sagged. Which tires are those?

Thanks bud, we replaced the springs n stuff about 2 years ago, still good condition. Tires are Mickey Thompson MTZs on MT sidebiters...they shipped today FWIW they measure out to about 32x10.1 on mickey thompsons website. I hope that's not too big.

Needed the reassurance, if they rub, it won't be for long since he'll be getting a 1 inch BL

The Wranglers the excpetion and really is a quite a different animal on and off road compared to a 4Runner. The 4Runner direct competition is the Cherokees and they won't fit 265/75s on them in any year without a lift.

I think the point of him posting the pick was to show they fit with no lift. He lists mods in his sig, and no lift it mentioned.

Is there a reason that your dad is so set on a body lift?
Its just, for me, a BL is the last way I would want to lift my Runner.
I mean if you're just lookin for a cheap way to give the tires more clearance, It seems to me that a spacer lift will provide that plus some more actual ground clearance, rather than just stretching the body up off the frame.
Maybe Im wrong about this, but wouldn't the body lift be more work. As I recall you have to move the bumper so theres no gap, and other modifications like that.

this lift can be achieved with 99 tall OE or OME 880 springs in front and Tall 99 OE or OME 906 springs in back. Either way using the OE shocks, bilsteins or anything else.
