[?] Biggest size tires on a stock 4runner ?

I hope not...I just picked up some 31x10.5x15's for my 2001 2WD SR5 from craig's list, and am about to put them on....

i have 265/70r16 and they dont rub and mine is a 97 on stock setup, but mine is a slighty smaller tire size

Don't wish that, the 15" runners have the crappy brakes.

I'm working on it. I'm getting the tires balanced today or tomorrow, and will post pics once they are on. If they fit!? I'll be pissed if they can't get stuffed in there....
Really? Crappier than usual? Even more reason for me to do the Tundra upgrade, now that my rotors are warped. Mine came with 15" stock which I finally "upgraded" to 16".

Getting them put on this afternoon...will post pics tonight/tomorrow...if they fit :boink:
They fit, but just barely. At full stop they may rub a tad if there is enough weight in the front seat...

Which says a lot since the bigger ones aren't that great to begin with.
I don't know why people complain about 4Runner brakes. Mine worked great. My current Tacoma's is even smaller than my previous 4Runner brakes and they still work great. Be sure to bed the brake pads in correctly and you should be good. I've never had a problem with mine. And I do a LOT of heavy braking.
