Biggest Tires Without Rubbing

I would love to throw some all-terrain's on my truck. i have 1999 SR5 with NO lift. so im wondering if they could even fit without rubbing. does anyone know the largest tire size a stock 4runner can fit without a lift?

BTW, i do want a lift. i just have to wait a year or so... :(

Do you have 15 or 16 inch rims on your truck?

Biggest you can go without rubbing is 31x10.5 on 15's and 265/75 on 16's

I have BFG All-Terrain 265/75R 16's on my 2000 SR5 4Runner. This is my 2nd set, my 1st set lasted me a good 5 or 6 years.

Save some money and try the Nittos;I've driven on a few sets of BFGs and while they might wear a little slower they get hard after about 40k hence hurting their dry grip and the Nittos are much better in the rain/resisting hydroplaning and hard packed slick conditions.

The Nittos have also been comparable to the BFGs off road but if you don't off road very much both choices aren't so great for a DD but if you do go off road more than a few times the Nittos have the edge in my experiences. BFGs do kick butt off road but on-road they still leave a bit of performance to be desired.

yeah the Nittos sound good. I have Firestone Wilderness LE's right now and they hold pebbles and whatnot. >:(

where is a good place to order Nitto's?

lol i have the same tires and same question

with 01's having the lower springs and also being 2WD would the 75s scrub on me? i know in the back i have plenty of room, its the front that concerns me. my signature has a picture if it will help.

I was thinking about this as well. Lookin into new rims and tires. OME 881 and 890 should be here today. What's the biggest tire I can fit with 20" rims? I think I am going nitto t/g. The look agressive and seem like they still provide on road performance.

The lower profile Nittos are not the same as my D rated version so don't venture too far off the beaten path.

my runner is basically a street queen. Only time I'm really off road is when I have to pull the boat out of a muck hole.

Anyone know where I can find a pic of a runner with the 881 and 890 OME lift and 20"s?

Sloan...in actuality, that needle would be rather easy to find because of how it sticks outside the stack.

But i know what you meant. :P lol
