My 56cm Roubaix SL2 does not nor does my 56cm Tarmac SL3. No quick releases for carbon seat posts on carbon road race frames :(

Stu, your tarmac doesn't fit in the back with the seats folded down and front wheel off? That would be weird and might keep me from buying considering my 97 takes my Tarmac and my 29er no worries? Thanks

simonj - Thanks. :biggrin2:

AZDropTop - Neither fit with seats folded flat and front tire off. About 3 inches too low on the inside roof height I'd say. I ride 56cm frames and am 5' 11.5" tall.

The Tarmac SL3 is a 2011 and I literally brought it home yesterday after it got built and the first thing I tried at the bike shop was the "upright and inside test". I knew it would not fit because the set-up for the rear (seat post height) is identical to the Roubaix, but I had to try anyways. :(

My Santa Cruz Blur (medium) won't fit unless I lower the seat. Not a big deal if you have a quick release on your seat post.

Wow. Bummer. I do ride a 54 so that makes sense. I've had my buddies56cm R3 in there before but it was a little more sideways than my bikes normal. :)

Sweet Rides by the way. Do you race or just love to ride? I spend too much time on the bike if that's possible! Thanks for the heads up!

What is the height in the back of your 97?
My GF has a 97 Limited but I hav'nt measured and I'm at work now.
With the pull out tray in the 5th the height is ~ 36.5 inches, floor to ceiling if I measured correctly. If you got one with out the sliding tray you would gain probably around 3-4 inches at the least. Some have taken it out.
Anybody without the tray in the 5th know the measurement? or could you measure for the record?

AZDropTop - At this point, I just love to ride. I used to race in a previous life, but I'm 46 years old now and am fortunate enough to still average well north of 800 miles a month on the bikes. I guess I'm still fast enough that my LBS wants me to join their team, but that would be one more activity on top of my kid's activities (tennis for the daughter & soccer for the son etc.) and my fly fishing habit that I just don't want to have to "schedule" around. My wife and I have enough of the scheduling headaches that we have no control over already.

And no, you do not spend too much time on bikes! Thats not possible :wink2:

800 miles a week is still a good amount of time on the bike! But it is tough to fit everything especially with 2 kids. I have a tough time with one! Enjoy the SL3. I hear they are amazing!

I stand corrected in that the height in the back is only 36.5 in my Limited with the sliding tray.My bad!
The 42 inch measurement I got before was with the tray removed and is in that post where I removed it.
