Bilstein 5100 0.85 position vs 1/4 Spacers

I installed my wheelers T1/T12 lift back in may and it has a bit of rake. As of now the ground to fender measurements are:

FL 35 3/4" FR 36"
RL 38 1/2" RR 38 1/2"

Wheelers recommends a 1/4"-3/8" spacer on the front to level it. Why not sett the strut to the 0.85" position? I don't like the idea of using spacers, it seems to me that adding a little more preload would be the ideal way to bring the front up a little more.

I used a single 1/4" spacer on the drivers side to level out the fronts driver side lean, which you also have looking at your measurements. That's what Wheelers recommended I do, and I did, worked out very well.

I actually want to KEEP some rake, there is a reason its there.

My measures (center of the hub to fender)
22.5" Front
24" rear

I would add the 1/4" spacer to the drive side to level that out and call it good.

If you want to tune out the front rake go for it, but you end up going pre-runner when loaded up with passengers, gear, or when towing. I think not enough rake also takes away from some Aero / MPG.

To clarify wheelers actually recommended:

3/8" spacer drivers side and 1/4" spacer passenger side (1/4" spacer option)

or

1/2" spacer drivers side and 3/8" spacer passengers side (3/8" spacer option)

to help with lean and level the vehicle more.

As for the 0.85" posistion I have an idea on how to eliminate drivers side lean without adding a spacer. I have yet to test it out but once I get the shock off the vehicle I can take some measurements and make a custom part in my dads machine shop. Hopefully this helps to clarify.
