i searched tirelessly on google and every toyota forum i could think of for an answer. I want to know how much lift the billy 5100's will give me iinn the front with stock springs on the top perch. Im looking to get 2-2.5" of lift and hoping this will get me there . Im not really concerned about the ride quality considering this is a truck. I plan on doing OME 906's out back and maybe a 3/8' spacer. Let me know what you think.

i'm pretty sure they will get you to 2.5"

not only are they going to ride like crap, they're going to wear your front springs like no other. i learned the hard way that you should do it right the first time. but good luck :)

Well i was also looking at getting some new 99 tall springs and putting them on the middle setting which may reduce wear because of the springs not being preloaded as much. If youre saying it will wear my stock ones quickly then im gonna avoid doing that.

Bilstein 5100s will get you the 2.5" set on the top setting. I wouldn't spend money on 99 coils just to preload them. You can get new eibachs or OMEs in the neighborhood of $160 so unless your springs are shot I wouldn't waste money on buying 99 springs if your goal is getting 2.5" lift.

i think you can get a spring that will give you 2.5-3" for just a little more than the price of new 99 springs. plus you don't want to preload brand new springs.

99 coils are what? like $70 each? 3" ome coils are 170 for both fronts. not much more for the set. with these you can have the 5100's on the first setting. you would need to rethink your rear tho.

I really dont want more than 2.5". Im only putting 265 75 16 tire on it. Its not like im gonna be rock crawling in the moab. I just do some light rocky trails here and there. If they have a spring that can match the 906 id be happy. This wont be for a couple months as im aquiring the pieces a little at a time so i can change stuff here and there. I just figured the 5100's would be the cheapest and easiest for the front.

very well... how about TRD Tundra coils by themselves (no spacer) up front? should be around 2" of lift and that spring rides awesome (even tho you could care less about the ride). since you're not in a hurry, you have time to find them cheap. i found them for under $100 for both.

I'll have some used rear springs and shocks for sale in the near future if you're on a tight budget. The shocks are good from 0-3" lift and the springs provide 2.5" of lift. Going to ask $100 plus shipping when I swap in my LC coils.
