bilstein 5100 with stock spring or FJC?

I have two questions. (If this has been asked before, sorry.)

I am trashing my x-reas system for bilstein 5100's and cant decide if I should use the stock springs or go to the FJC springs. I have 72,000 miles on my 2005 sport edition v6.The difference in cost is going to be about $170.

1.Is the ride that much better with FJC springs?

2. If I get FJC springs, is there anything wrong with getting the MOOG FJC 2007 springs?

any information on benefits or drawbacks is appreciated.

I noticed a pretty good improvement with the FJ springs. Hard to put a dollar value on it, but I would almost say yes it is worth it. I think paying over $100 is too much for used springs, I see full shock/spring combo's for around that. I don't know of anyone what has used anything other than the OEM FJ springs, so not sure if those MOOG's would be the same.

I did FJ springs on my stock XREAS. It was very noticeable that the front was smoother than before. Small bumps in the road or other imperfections are hardly felt, if they're even felt at all (they were before). My advice is to keep looking because I think you can find a much better deal on the FJ springs.

Just be aware, I'd estimate the FJ springs would provide 1" lift in the front (that's if yours is 4wd, if 2wd it'd be even more) so you'd want to choose the setting on the shocks with that in mind. In the rear you'll probably get .25"-.5".

My front right and rear left shocks are completely shot. The hydraulic regulator to those to shocks went out and the system is completely de-pressurized.

my problem is that I have time set aside this upcoming monday to get the rear end done. I am tired of driving around in a vehicle that rides like junk and bounces all over. I dont want my tires to wear prematurely. I cant afford new shocks spings and tires.

The local O'reilly auto store has the springs and hand making it very convenient to go pick them up...and they are new. I already have the bilsteins.

I'm with ARK on this, after watching his thread for months I purchased some used 4x4 FJC coils from a user on FJC forum and love them (paid $80). Better than the tired stock springs I had on the runner. Ride is a little firmer (which is a good thing) and matched with the Bilstein 5100's it is a solid suspension upgrade for under $500.

I've never heard of the MOOG FJ springs so I can't comment on them but the OEM FJC springs are money.
