Bilstein 5100's installed with 2" lift, half shafts blew out grease

Hello,

We just had a 2" lift installed on our '97 4Runner, and after a few hundred km of driving the front half shafts have vomited out some of their grease.

I can't say for sure the boots aren't torn, but they do not appear to be ripped across any of the bellow's ribs.

Is this a normal occurrence after a dramatic change in ride height? The bellows no doubt have a different volume after the lift so I'm assuming they did not like that much grease inside.

Totally normal. The boots develop a memory, change position drastically and now they arent happy. Id suggest cutting the existing clamps and stretching the boots. But as long as they arent torn your fine,

I just came across this last week on my passenger side, Boot was torn. So, I went with a new Napa CV Axle and as good as new.
