Bilstein 5100s on an IFS first gen?

Hey guys first post here so forgive me for all the mistakes I'm sure I'll make. :reddance:

I've got an 86 with no current suspension mods besides an add a leaf in the rear. Judging by the amount of spine jolting bumps I'm getting on the trails I think it's time for new shocks.

I'm just curious if anyone has fitted Bilstein adjustable 5100s on a first gen. Like these here:

Ive heard of some guys using them on early tundras and that's why I thought it might be possible. I have no lift atm but I like the idea of having the option to add one later on and keep my shocks. I could also just scrap the idea and go with these here:

Anyone have any experience using these or have any better suggestions? Thanks!

Bilstein yellow HD's

I'm running the regular Bilstein HD yellow shocks front and rear with 2" blocks in the rear and cranked torsion bars. It's a night and day difference. $300 shipped on ebay. The 5100's are for a 4" lift or larger.

Running 285/75x16's with no rub on cranked T-bars and Bilstein HD's
