Bilstein vs Eibach fronts

Does anyone have any realworld comparison between the 5100s and Eibach pro truck shocks? I'm debating between the two with the Toytec front lift coils.

I have the Bilstein 5100 tundras on my 02 4R and think they ride really rough. Could be valving...ARB bumper and Savage skid. No eibach experience.

What's your spring rate? I ask because I have the 5100 tundra's and the Eibach 620# spring with savage skids, relentless bumper and an Engo winch. They where a little rough when first installed but since the winch went on the front feels like it's glued to the road.

Tundra factory springs, not sure of the rate. Not horrible, but far from flexy or soft. Must be the springs? Are the 620# springs from Toytec?

Yep. The Eibachs with a 620# rate. I was worried they'd be to soft after the bumper went on but there actually pretty good. I have a set amount of cash for this rig so I was faced with the decision of really top end suspension and shitty locker or really shitty suspension and top end locker. For my needs the latter will be a better choice. I did a lot of research before I committed my cash to Toytec but so far I'm happy with the price/performance ratio.

Do you have the TRD Tundra Extended Cab 4x4 Springs? These are the only progressive springs that came on the Tundra

No hijack at all man. He asked and you gave an opinion based on experience. That's how we all get info on this site. A thread hijack is when I post 3 pages of climbing stories in somebody else's build thread. lol

Sonoran steel have the parts number for the tundra TRD springs and bilstein shocks. Steve did a lot of research to find the best pair for the money.

I run the toytec eibach and D558 tundra shocks. It rides better on road with some weight upfront such as steel bumper and winch. 620# spring rate is plenty to hold the weight. Toytec has 650# rate as well.

You're probably not gonna get an answer. Most people, when they upgrade, go to a spanner wrench type of adjustable coilover. Think King, Fox, Radflo, Stay-away. Switching one low end shock for another would be counter productive to improving your ride.

Bump - getting ready to send Toytec a ton of money and this is one of the things I'm going to order.

Any justification for buying the more expensive Eibach kit over the Bilstein kit? From what I can tell they're about identical except for the front shocks.
