Yesterday I decided it was finally time to pull the trigger on getting 20% tint done to the front windows and a strip on the front windshield. Driving at night took a little getting used to, but the look of it is great.

I got mine done a couple of months ago. it looked good for a while, but now it seems at certain angles and when it is bright out, it has a greenish tint to it. Maybe because of the window's factory greenish tin that is alredy on there? Have you noticed this and what brand do you have?

I only got this yesterday and have noticed nothing greenish about it. It's 3M 20%

looks good thanks for the pic.....ive called a few shops and ill eventually go to the same shop that did my clear bra [after all they do all of lambo's and range rovers dealer cars so that means they do good work] and im trying to get it down to 15% to match all around. my brother did his car with 15% all around and had factory tint on the back and it matches perfect so im hoping for the same

I have gotten a few vehicles done at Pro-Tint in Lakewood. They do a great job. http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-...105080913,5562811905514034185&li=lmd&z=14&t=m

thanks for the recommendation but i think ill take mine to

i used them for the clear bra and they did an amazing job. i did a full front wrap and the lines are so perfect and straight so im gonna use them for the tint too.

When I do it, I'm going 20% all around. Only doing the fronts is nice but the back then has no UV protection.

Isn't the back already done with factory tint? I did 15% up front and it matches the factory tint perfectly.

Yes but its not real tint. It provides no relief from the heat in the summer because it doesnt block light. Real tint like he got on the front only allows 20% of the light in which means it drastically reduces inside temps.

no the backs are 'privacy glass' no UV protection. and ive been told its something around 22-23%?? not sure how true that is. but thats why its so hard to match

I see, I just assumed that the factory tint had these qualities.

Unfortunately not, its simply colored glass - i don't even think there is a film on it.

im not sure what they use but yes its in the glass itself so cant even be removed.

If anyone wants to know from Denver I went to All American Window Tint on Evans and I want to say Santa Fe, but a little further west of that. It was 80$ cash for the front two and windshield strip and only took around 30 minutes. Seems to match really well with the back.

And also....HOW ABOUT THEM NUGGETS?

Wow. Looks much better. I've had really good luck with 3M tint and always insist on using it.

So far I love it, haven't noticed any green on the front window because of the factory tint.

I have the 3M and if you're really looking for it you can see a green tint on mine. Maybe it's just my mind. Hopefully it is not noticable to others.

Anyone else with just 20% on front two windows thinks that it matches extremely well with the rears from outside, but is darker than them on the inside?
