Finally got around to snapping a few pics of my truck. I think it's a Highlander, but am not 100% certain (feel free to lemme know one way or the other).

Things I've done in the very short time I've owned it:
  1. Removed gold badges/emblems; installed OEM chrome Toyota emblems.
  2. Removed gold pinstripes.
  3. Added TRD decals to each side.
  4. Added Hulk decal to rear window.
  5. Installed complete set of OEM Toyota floor mats.
  6. Removed bug deflector.
  7. Removed running boards.
  8. Gave her a good bath and a quick polish/wax.

It's not a Highlander. It's a Sport. Highlander's always have E-lockers, and they usually have SR5 flares and trim. I think you could upgrade the flares as a dealer option on the Highlander, but very very few got it....so most Highlanders have black small flares.

Either way....it's a slick truck!! I like it alot.

Thanks for the clarification; now I know and knowing is half the battle.

...there is no lift right? looks like u got a small lift....

Actually there is a lift. It has a Revtek 3" lift.

Nicely optioned rig man!

Thanks you sir. She's not much, but she's mine.

I've been off here for a while, but I'm not sure thats true. The bit about all highlanders having lockers.

Well, I have the window sticker to my Highlander. The "Highlander" package includes the locker. No way you can get the Highlander package without the locker. Although you can obviously get the locker without the Highlander package.

Well, whatever it is, it's a killer rig!

Want to sell your old bug deflector?

Thank you, sir.

Since I have a habit of not leaving things alone, I'm contemplating painting the wheels. They'd look so much better if they were a dark grey, but the other half of me says to let well enough alone as they're in great shape.

As for the deflector, if ya really want it, shoot me a PM.

Ok, so my being completely wrong about the model of your 4runner, along with discovering how much info is on JA's 4Runner site......made me do some research.

Here's the PDF if you want to look at it yourself. http://www.top4runners.com/runhist/3rdgen/2000_4runner.pdf

In summary: For 2000, you could get an SR5 with 4 different "Extra Value Packages", one of which included the rear locker. You could also get 3 different "Option Packages", one was just the leather trim package, and the other two were Sport Package's......one with locker and one without.

I don't know what extra value packages you have Prelate, but it looks like you got the Sport Package without the locker. Dunno if it would have still been called a Highlander on the window sticker or not. Honestly I think the window sticker is about the only place Toyota actually printed the word "Highlander".

Well, DUH! Doesn't everyone know that?

Nice rig, it is twin brother to mine (except for the lift, the TRD stickers, and the antanna being all the way up, mine is stuck at half mast).

I know the TRD stickers are really popular, but I prefer the cleaner look without them. I think I would rather have one of the TRD badges than the sticker.

Oh, and you have the rear wind screen and a hitch.

Nice 4Runner Bishop! Looks great with the lift and TRD stickers. Gotta love the awesome Imperial Jade Mica paint too!

The lift was a nice bonus and I do rather like the TRD decals. As for the paint, at first I wasn't sure I was into it, but I think it looks great now. It'll look even better in the Spring when I get a new orbital (i.e. Griot's Gear) and some better detailing products.

Nice t4r. It looks like the endless months of searching paid off. Now you just need to get it on the trails.

I know, right? Patience is a virtue. As for the trails, I wouldn't mind tossing her down some 4x4 trails, but nothing crazy; the highway tires kinda make that tough.

I've already purchased the black Tacoma whip antenna, but still need to get the non-motorized assembly; both will go in sometime in the near future. The stupid motorized antenna is just a PITA.

I went back-n-forth on the TRD decals. I'll admit they are cheesy, but I kinda dig it. If I get tired of them after a bit, it'll take seconds to take 'em off. Besides, I have all of $10 invested in them.

It was referred to as a Highlander in '99-'00 and is only printed on the window stickers and nowhere else;even my insurance states 4Runner/Sport. By '01 it was called the Sport package and then in '02 it was formally and badged as a Sport Edition.
All '99 Highlanders and most of the '00 version had the taller coils otherwise some options varied and some were dealer installed like leather seats.
The '00 Highlanders only came with the widebody flares which differs from the '99s which had the skinny black flares and is the only real diff between the two years.

I really love this truck.

I will probably be doing the black taco antenna too, it is just pretty far down on my list right now. I didn't even notice mine was busted until after I bought it, not that it would have made a difference. Radio sucks anyway, I spend more time surfing than actually listening.
