Thanks guys! And I can't wait either. Just gotta talk to some of my buddies to help me mount this thing. Probably going to have to do the end cap mod to get it to work. Also have to make it work with my body lift. Shouldn't be to hard though. Ill post pics ASAP when it's on

got the bumper mounted. it literally bolted right up. but its got a little gap. mainly due to the body light not sure if i should leave it or move it up a little.
any suggestions? i need to repaint it and find a plug for the led turn signals. but for the moment here are some pics. also installed my HID kit 6000k bulbs. dont bash the HID in stock housing. just my first step toward a retrofit!

got the led blinkers installed and working. also buddy got a new top for his jeep so we decided to take a few poser shots. it was actually pretty here this weekend.





















also thinking about adding some tube to the bumper. here are two ideas i have. im leaning more toward the full hoops.

Dad picked up this 97 5 speed with 190k on it. Pretty clean other than to many chrome emblems. It came with clear corners and he didn't like them so I swapped my tinted ones for his clear. Worked out for both of us. Also put my TRD stickers on and installed the ep-35 relay that fixed my hyper flash from the LEDs in the bumper here's pics of my dads and my new lights and sticker

Picked up a cherry bomb glasspack off Craigslist today for 20$. Installed for 60. Sounds awesome. Not as loud and obnoxious as I thought. I'd say its pretty good for 80$.Also ordered all the shocks for my dads 4runner, picked up a set of 8 wraps from a guy here local for 60$. He also ordered a set of 02 tails and got rid of the chrome ones they are for sale if anyone is interested. Just waiting on the eibach springs to get off back order and his diff drop.

Well this weekend my valve stem cracked leaving me with a flat tire so pumped it up and drove to a local shop got them to fix it and rotate my tires. Best part it was free. But as they were removing my passenger front tire they noticed this. Should I order a reboot kit? Or just go ahead and replace my axles?

I recently had a leaky CV as well. I suggest you order the parts for a Toyota reboot kit, only do the side that is leaking. Order the kit that includes both inner and out boot. You can get the parts from CamelBak Toyota Parts Online for about 25% less than your dealer. Call them if you need help with the part #.

Anyways once you have the two piece rubber Toyota re-boot kit, take it to a local competent shop (not a chain but a private shop) and have them perform the Toyota re-packing procedure for that CV. Give them the parts you bought.. I'm willing to bet you can find a place that will do it for $75 labor, maybe $100.

You will want to remove the leaking CV yourself and stuff a RAG in the the hole. Don't drive it like that at all; just leave it parked.

The main goal is to keep your CV which isn't broken and works 100% at this point in time. Aftermarket CVs are considered inferior because they break much easier than Toyota CVs (at least from what I've read) so you will want to keep the Toyota metal.

The absolute easier thing would be to just buy NAPA CVs and bring them in the CORE. However you would be giving them your quality CV and taking their inferior CV minus some of your cash. :ballchain:

Well I went to advanced auto today after work and just got a whole new axle shaft. Think the brand is toughone. Anyway it cost me 105$. They had it in stoc so I just went ahead and got it. It has a liftime warranty so If it happens again all it's gonna cost me is my labor unless its the driver side. I plan on doing it this weekend and installing my dads lift.

Yea they are. 285/75/18 trails grapplers. Nitto says like a 32.8 or something like that. And my ultra gauge says 14.3 right now but I need to do a tune up. I was about to get wires and plugs to start but the cv happened. So I'm sure I can get a few more miles after I do some maintenance

On my 2wd I had first I maybe saw 1 or 2 mpg gone. It didn't really affect it. But it's hard to tell cause all tires weigh different and the way u drive has a lot to do with ur mpgs too.

If your tires are 285/75/18 they are actually closer to a 35....I think maybe they are 285/65/18? Just to clarify.

Nice rig though man! Now that you have the aftermarket CV, reboot the old one so you have it as a spare, or toss it back in after you reboot it and have the aftermarket as a spare. Either way I would find a way to hold onto the OEM one, like [MENTION=65101]BrianSD_42[/MENTION] said.

Anyways, I like what you have done so far. Are you still thinking about putting tube on the bumper?
