Black lug nuts for stock trail rims?

So I know this has been talked about in a few other threads when Phillyd was looking for black lugs nuts for his mojave rims... And there was some suggestions by Harper or Ducamonster... But what about when looking for black lug nuts for the stock trail rims? Will the same gorilla lug nuts fit?

I think most aftermarket wheels use tapered conical seats lug nuts, and the OE Toyota wheels use those kind with the built-in washers so it's not going to be compatible chief.

Dip will come off as soon as you put the wrench to it to tighten them back on. The only thing I can thing off would be maybe to have the chrome stripped and anodized? Again that's an idea and don't have a clue if it'll work or not.

I touch mine up with a rattle can each time they are taken off or put on, it really doesn't even mess em up too bad. Looks decent enough in my opinion.

Oh hahaha guys... Well looks like I'll save some $$$ and try to spray my nuts (grow up).... They are pretty hard nuts so I'll have to take my time and gently sand my nuts to try to get the paint to stick.



Cause this just won't do.

The ones from FN Wheels fit their wheels, not the stock Toyota alloy wheels. I found these referenced on FJCruiserForums.com but haven't bought any yet. They're available in 37mm and 50mm lengths, I assume we'd need the longer ones but I haven't checked.

I ordered the extended ones and they are very very close to OEM...only black powdercoated. I suggest maybe plasti-dipping your socket to protect the black finish.
Not a bad deal.
