Popping my cherry with my first post. Long time reader, just never had anything but stock plus tints.
Original owner of a 2001 sport with a little over 159k miles. I was considering buying aftermarket wheels and figured I would paint the rims black. I saw some posts on the forum with photoshopped images of the coke bottle wheels to appear black, but not the real deal.
Also, I installed a set of spidertrax wheel spacers. I thought I would have no problem running my 265/75/16's with the spacers but I actually do get some rubbing at full tilt. Plan was to give the truck a little better look until I could replace the horribly worn out shocks.
I did get the spacers mostly for looks, and for that purpose they look great. As far as perfomance, I do mostly city driving in the DC area, some highway driving. On the highway, changing lanes is pretty smooth. Its a little bit of a difference in handling. For daily driving below 50 mph and in garages I feel like I'm driving a boat. Especially since I'm paranoid about rubbing the wheels.
