Black out LED tails

Hey guys, I want to order the LED tail lights for my 04 4runner...I want to black them out but not completely. I want to leave the reverse light rectangle white to give it some look rather then being completely blacked out. How would I go about doing this since there isn't a dip around the reverse light that I could use to easily cut out the film?
If any of you have done this please post pics! Its greatly appreciated.

I just measured it and covered that area with some masking tape before applying the paint. I used the VHT Nightshade (spray) not the film.

They look kind of dull, but that may be the camera. Did you clear over the nightshades? It'll give it a decent shine. Just the duplicolor clearcoat from autozone works for that.
