I imagine you need more than wax, you may want to try clay barring and a rubbing compound, polishing compound then a wax. I'm no pro, but my friend has a 2007 Camry that sat in a shed for 2 years when we deployed, when we got back it was covered in bird ****, the compound stuff worked well. Turtle wax brand I believe.

After you get it looking good again, if you have the time you should wax it once a month or so, and polish in between. I have a 95 and the paint looks like it just rolled off the show room floor. Granted I'm in Texas, and dont have salt and snow and **** but still.

Turtle wax also makes a wax just for black vehicles, it works good, gets rid of swirl marks

black paint

Mine had the same problem when I bought it. I had it professionaly compounded after everything I tried didn't work. The problem is the paint was damaged/missing beyond repair. Finally got the hood & front bumper repainted for $400...Very happy with the results now.

I just bought Turtle Wax's kit called "The Black Box". Comes with polish, wax, and a spray detailer. It worked very well for me and my truck has a great shine now.

elbow grease

i will give this a try,i will try to detail this myself.I just need to find an entire day to do this right.:hello:

Is there a quick detail product designed for black paint?

Yes, I use it on my BLACK Audi Roadster, in Texas.

It's called BLACK BOX; by Turttle Wax. It's actually a three part pre-wash, wax and detail spray. About $40 but worth it. Everything is tinted black to fill/hide swirls & imperfections.

L.O.V.E. it. :bravo:

I loved it for my old black '03, but if you're paying $40, you're getting badly ripped off. I got it at advanced auto parts for $15. Wal mart had it for $15 too.
