Black Skid Plate Installed! (PICS)

Haha, I'd have to pass on that, if I decided to paint it silver again, it'd be much cheaper and easier for me to do it.

Since you're bling'ed out with the wheels and badges you should think about chroming it. It would stand out and be pretty durable (I image it catches alot of hell from road debris).

I'd say leave it alone since you've hit on something original (I've never seen it before period) and is understated but still is noticeable.

Looks great I don't think a black skid would work on another color but on your T4R it's awesome.

It's a 4Runner skid plate I got from Toyota, it was originally silver then I had it painted black.

I'm actually trying to go in the opposite direction of "bling" this time, selling the rims and I'm going to get a different set.

Oh wow, cool. I go back and forth with the "style" on my ride all the time (wheels so far have been stock-> CCW Classics in black, CCW SP500's full polish and now IForged black gloss centers w/ chromes lips ).

I would leave it black because not only does it look good with the shiny-ness of it but because your tube steps are black. If you was to keep your rims, and had chrome tube steps, then I would paint it back to silver or if you could, paint it chrome. Either way, the truck is hot lookin. :bigok:

Yeah man, save up for a nice set of 22"s, you won't regret it! Don't overdue the chrom or it will look tacky, like chrome door pillars and that cheap chrome stuff at Auto Zone that goes around your doors, stay away from that!

I think it looks good either way... I personally like the little contrast it creates...

Although I am clearly very bias since I take a difference approach to my rig, but I think you shouldn't go for 22".

Slightly smaller wheels with a lift and AT tires will give your rig a very new look :bigok:
