I recently found a set of stock 08 FJ cruiser wheels on craigslist. I really like the look of the wheel on the 3gen 4runner but wanted to do something a little different. I decided to order set of the the black TRD centercaps that came on the TRD and FJ trails team edition.
The TRD centercap is slightly larger than the stock FJ, so out came the dremel and a little trimming to fit. The longer curved sections have to be removed right below the notch for the centercap retaining ring and a little strip has to be removed from each "spoke" of the centercap. You have to reuse the original centercap retaining ring as the TRD one is too big.
My dremel gave out after trimming three of the five, but this is what the rim looks like with the centercap in place.
