black wheels on 2006 sr5

I've posted regarding this before... I went to a local tire/wheel shop and they told me that I will have a problem putting different wheels on my 2006 b/c of the tire pressure sensor, plus prices were ridiculous. Is it true that you can't go w/ an aftermarket wheel b/c of the tire pressure system? If so is there anything special you have to do?

Thanks

They have to reinstall your TPMS onto your aftermarke rims and calibrate them. Most places charge a re-intall and calibration fee on top of the wheel/tire package. For a NEW TPMS set they will rape you for like $300-$400, PLUS labor fees.. but there shouldnt be any reason why they cant do this...

you can always put the stock tires on the stock rims & leave em near where you park, the light only comes on after about an hour or so of driving, when you park at night it will reset. but like the last guy said , you can transfer the tpms to new rims, if everything is the same size you wont have to recalibrate, most shops charge about 4 bucks a wheel to transfer. search the web for better prices on rims & find a different shop to install em.
