Blacked out center caps

Inspired by all those blacking out their rims. I wanted to try something a little different, I went with blacked out center caps. Like Antman I used Plastidip. Very easy to use and I tested out peeling it off and it came off just fine.

Love them so far! They don't look as aggressive but this it's my daily driver so mpg matters to me. They had little to no change on mpg. Ride feels better, handling had a big impact, and with the little rain we have in so cal I had no problems. Looking forward to see how well they do in the snow when snowboarding season starts! They had excellent reviews for rain/snow handle

Just pop it off with a screw driver (recommend wrapping it with tape or rubber bands at the tip and at the point where you use the rim to pop off the center cap). Wash the exterior of the cap and you're good to go. The plastidip spray can works like any other spray paint. It was roughly $6 and change from home depot. For caps only, 1 can is enough for 4 coats.

Did you spray it right on the truck? Or did you pull it off, paint it, and reinstall it? :cheers:

Sprayed it on the truck.

I taped a box around the emblem. sprayed it, 1st coat should be light and heavier each time. But don't drench it or even close to it. I did 3 coats.

Thanks! It's easy to do too, hardest part is pulling off the caps but the rest is a breeze

T? if that's the logo, then it was easy. Once you have the caps off, you can use a small flat head and edge each tab out slowly.

The winch is a XRC10 Comp. I had this winch on my old 07 GMC Z71 and it never let me down. I got to use it to recover a stuck jeep and 3/4 ton Ford at Richolam WMA this past weekend. Winch performed flawless.....as it has for the past 3 years.

Now go to the lift pix thread and tell us what life you are running. Better yet put all your info into your sig line so we know what we are looking at. Your truck looks so good but its not nice to tease
