Blacked Out Headlights Installed!

I'm very impressed with how much this improved the front of my 4Runner, the chrome headlights were tacky, everybody should look into blacking out there headlights. If you don't know how to(like me) then shoot Bowtie3 a PM.

Looks good man. Do you have any pictures with less glare on them? I am considering doing this to mine.

By the way, your truck looks 100000 times better without those dorky rims on it. Time to lift that thing!

I tried taking pictures everywhere but the glare was terrible no matter where I went.. I will figure out something and get some better pics here in a day or two. But you should definitely get them, looks a hell of a lot better than the chrome headlights.

Yeah the rims definitely didn't look good on my 08, looked much better on my 02. But yeah it looks like I'm not getting new rims until December.. no money at the moment.

I'm looking at doing this before I get my Expel put on, but want to use my nice brand new lights. Wonder what it would look like on Salsa Red? Of course I'd then have to get a color matched grill.

Looks good man!!! Turn around is a problem. I work 24 hours a day it seems like. (Own a off road shop in az) No oven here or i could get it done faster. I have to do it on my off weekends so no shipping till the next Monday or Tuesday. I have a set comming up then have to wait for the old stuff to get back. Then I will have a set to use until you get your new stuff back....let me know.

I'm sure it would look great!! It really looks good on all colors. If you are good at photoshop you should be able to take a look.....

Yeah....my photoshop skills are lacking so I don't think that will happen? Maybe I'll just try it on my own, but I feel a lot more comfortable having someone do it that's done it plenty of times. That way I know it's done right and sometimes it's just easier to pay someone to do it. Do you use just a regular silicone from like HD or Lowes? What satin paint do you use? Something good like Wurth or just a off the shelf satin?

Clear window and bath slicone from Hd or Lowes. Cant think of the name of the paint off hand, will have to look when i get home. The Krylon stuff is good but the other stuff is better I think and It's still for plastic.

If anybody feels better about it.....You can always buy some lights and ship to my work and I'll paint em and send them back to ya. That way you can keep your originals....It's really up to you.

Well, I received DHeeter's headlights from his 06 4Runner, and I'm about to send mine back to Bowtie, and that's how it works. Or you can buy some brand new ones from Ebay and send them to him.

I have to paint sheezy's then send back...... When I get them I'll do them right away and send back.....One more before you and your next. Little wait but worth it in the end.

H.I.D.s, gauge bezel trim, silver dash kit, a brake up grade d/s rotors, ss lines, and Axxis pads to help stop these 20's and the massive stereo I'm still designing on...keep leading the way

Must have just mis-understood. I just meant that as soon as you have his headlights, with no stains, paint them up for me. I just don't want to put stained ones on for the duration of time that it takes to paint mine. Let me know when you have a set that is fit for painting so we can get the $$ squared away.
