Blacked Out Look

Im going for the blacked out look on my 4runner and so far i have the rims powdercoated flat black, took all of the emblems off and painted them black same with grille (took toyota off of back and re-spelled it on the grill, looks great) but i am wondering, how to get the brakes and headlights black or atleast smoked withought having to buy new ones? I saw VHT nightshades but how easy is this product to use/does it last? any info on helping would be great! 2005 sr5 v8 4x4:jump:
