Bleeding Brakes Before or After Caliper Replacement

I'm getting a new caliper sometime this week due to the pistons being fried on old one. The brake fluid is looking orangeish red and old, probably hasnt been changed in 4+ Years. Should I bleed whole system before I put the new caliper on, or after?

i dont think it will matter. once you install the new caliper, just do a full flush on the system.

i did it it on 2006 sport with 193k. took 1.5 quarts. brakes feel much more responsive now.

Wondering if anyone has any recommendations? I'm seeing so many brands and variants that it's getting hard to filter it down to a manageable choice. I just got the Brake Performance slotted/dimpled rotors and Wagner OEX pads, now trying to nail down the calipers.

Check daily driver section on Rock Auto when you find your car or just get one off amazon for like 70$, its 70 either way because of the shipping cost
