Blitz Safe Aux In - I learned something new.

There is ONE connection on the back of the JBL radio (mine is the single CD type, though I assume they are all the same) that can be used for a CD changer, rear seat audio (the Toyota option), or the Blitz Safe Aux In.

So, if you want to have the Aux In for your iPod, forget about letting anyone use the rear seat audio.

I will ask Blitz Safe about making a Y to allow for other uses of the single port.

I just talked to Blitz. It seems that a Y would not work. We have to pick ONE accessory to connect to the radio. For me, it is my iPod. I have 15 gigs worth of listening pleasure to work my way thru.

So you have the 10 spkr system right? That plug you are talking about, on the back of the unit. . . I can unplug the rear seat audio and plug in a changer? I would assume it is a toyota oem changer? Do you have a picture of the connector (shape?). How would you operate the cd changer if there is no cd changer controls?

Is this enough questions for you? I can probably think of more!!!

I have the Blitz Safe Aux In. I saw the back of the radio when the Best Buy installer had it out. There is only one input for one accessory. The connector needed is Toyota specific. It took Blitz Safe some months to get one of these.

I just ordered the Blitzsafe attachment, and fortunately I don't use the rear audio...

I bought it it because of your other posts on the BlitzSafe, and it was the best solution for the Dell DJ15 I just bought...

This will work out for me, but just goes to show the value of these type of forums in sharing info... It allows people to make educated decisions about modding their vehicles...

It's an adapter that uses existing plugs in the back of the Toyota HU that allows you to plug a MP3 directly into the head unit...

No FM modulator required...

I already have the indash changer, so will that still work?? I don't have the manuals yet, so I'm flying blind here...

I was planning on installing the Blitzsafe this weekend, but I won't until I get this potential solution answered...

It has one side that plugs into R14, the other you plug your RSA into, and the other side is the old style CD Changer plug..

I installed the Blitzsafe without the Y cable mentioned above...

Works great, but lost the rear radio which I didn't use anyway...

Maybe I'll try the Y cable later, but don't need it right now...

Does anybody know if the Aux in on the back of the JBL system is the same as the stock system? What about the JBL system on the 03 and the 04? Still the same connector?
