BlitzSafe Aux In - In Production

At long last the parts are in to BlitzSafe and the Toyota aux-in connector is in production. Shipping is supposed to start in two weeks. Mine is on order. About $120 plus shipping.

It will be nice to listen to my iPod thru the JBL system.

Now that I am getting what I wished for, I wonder what I have gotten myself into. How do I install this new adapter? Is this a reach around from behind, behind a panel, or pull the radio from the dash?

Is this for the JBL 10 speaker system? If it is, I don't know how it would work since the JBL headunit doesn't have a cd-changer input or anything on the back. That is the reason why I chose to get an aftermarket alpine stereo that has an aux-in connection.

I discussed the installation with BlitzSafe. They assume there is a CD changer port on the back of the single disk JBL system. If so their aux input connects there. The radio must be removed from the dash to do the installation.

Any advice regarding the removal of the radio? Maybe I should go to a car audio shop to get it done.

I have been interested in getting an ipod but was discouraged by some of the other posts talking about the quality of the FM modulator. I will be interested to see how this works out. Thanks RL!!
