Blower issue

So I have a good amount of mechanical experience but not much with climate control. The issue I have in my 4r is that the blower is stuck in the one position. I mean it is physically stuck, I can push on it with a decent amount of force and it will now move. I do not want to really push on it and potentially fully break it. The truck does have a/c but the compressor is shot so I am not worried about that since it is not a DD but would be nice to be able to drive it in the winter comfortably. The CC moves freely into floor, defrost and all other modes just stuck at speed position 1. I have been racking my brain about it the past few days when I have spare thought time and just don't have enough experience with the system to come up with a solid idea. I am asking because I do not want to throw parts at it until it is fixed. Any help is appreciated.

No movement from the switch, afraid to push the guts out of it and potentially break it. It feels like a mechanical bind, much like a frozen bolt that I fear ill break with enough pressure but on it. Update: today it momentarily turned off while burping the coolant system (TB/WP change today). Then wiggled the switch and went back to previous condition, of stuck in fan mode 1. Hope this helps clarify.

Must just be mechanical binding. I would take it out, inspect and maybe clean.
Got no kid who may have inserted a coin in that slot?

It's a switch, a mechanical device, only way is to take it out and fix or replace. The actual cooling system has nothing to do with the switch. All it is is the fan control.
