Blown motor what to do? decisions decisions

I have a 95 4runner with the 3.0 and it has locked up. Haven’t quite made up my mind what I want to do yet. Rebuild it or do a swap. I’ve read you can put the 3.4 in it but you need a body lift for it to fit. I’ve also seen where you can put in a vw diesel motor in it. What would you guys do?

3.4 swap. Bolts up to the tranny, buy a wiring harness from Offroad solutions. Cut the hood for clearance and skip the body lift.

As aggravated as I am with mine I may put a 350 in it. I've always been a fan of GM. This one (have not picked up yet) has a 3.4 sitting on the floor nes to it and everything for the conversion. I dont know if I want to mess with that conversion or not.

Stick with toyota. You can skip the body lift on a 3.4 swap by cutting the hood. A lexus v8 would be rad if the funds are not a issue.
