Blown Motor

Deathmage

to make the long story short,

- I was in the process of flushing out the radiator
- while driving, rad cap popped off and lots of smoke
- thought I blown the radiator, but next morning, no leaks
- filled up with coolant and everything seemed normal
- tons of smoke from exhaust while on the freeway

did I blow the engine?
how much would it cost to repair?

If it was white smoke, chances are you have blown a head gasket and coolant is getting into the cylinder(s) and combusting. I just fixed this problem on a Honda Civic.

To fix yourself, probably about $40-50 bucks for a new gasket. For a mechanic, you don't want to know.
