Blue book value on 1997

Well I have decided ona 4runer.

I'm going with a 1997 2.7l 4cyl base model, with almost no rust, and 134000 miles

The kbb price for a 97 is around 5k, which seems low for a 97.

The asking price is 6500 wich seems fair, but obviously much higher than the blue book value.

Any thoughts?

It's a capitalist country. If you think $6,500 is a fair price for what you're buying, then it's your prerogative to pay it. The point is that you and the seller should both walk away happy with the transaction.

Let us know what you decide.

I would be happy paying nothing so i guess this is a case of pyrrhic defeat.

That said, I think we are a go. It passed emissions and I'm having it looked at by Boulder Toyota in the AM.

I just hope i can make it up to the mountian in this thing.

I think 5,500 is what I'd like to pay but 2.7 i4 is hard to find this side of town.
