blue parking light bulb ?

question? in the headlamp in the top outside corner there is a small amber bulb within a clear lens that is a parking light bulb. i believe its an 1194 bulb? i was trying to figure out if putting a blue bulb in there would be illegal, and i think it would be, BUT.... i work for Audi and the new A8 models have the blue bulb in in there parking lights stock . how is that legal?

What state.? I can tell you its illegal in most states that I know of. In the Audi is it a blue tinted bulb that shines blue or a bluish white. All lights have to be approved by DOT but in some states they are more restrictive.

I had blue LED's there in mine but got tired of it fast (looks odd). Instead I got clear LED that maches my 6000K HID when lit.

you'd have to check with your local laws.

it's illegal in HI - it'll get you a fairly large fine and a court date. could be a blue bulb, aftermarket HIDs/bulbs w/ a blue tint, blue city lights (if anyone still uses those).
